WhatsApp on Wednesday announced that it was launching a new feature that allows users to add an additional layer of privacy to chats. The new “advanced chat privacy” setting is the media export and auto-download media on the phone you are chatting with.

The setting prevents the users refer to the Meta AI in messages or asking the Meta AI question.

The idea behind the trait is to assure everyone in a group that is not shared and not called out of chat.

It is noteworthy that users can still take separate screenshots. WhatsApp says that there are plans to add more effectiveness for advanced chat privacy to include more protection in the future, so it is possible that the company can prevent screenshots in the future version of the feature.

The meta-owl company notes that this feature can be helpful in a situation where participants do not know each other well but are discussing sensitive issues. For example, you can discuss health challenges in a support group or organize a meaningful community issue.

You can launch the new setting by pressing the chat name and selecting the “Advanced Chat Privacy” option.

The feature is slowly rotating in the coming months and will be available in both chat and group.

WhatsApp chats are already protected from the end to the end encryption, but advanced chat privacy gives users to over -level privacy. The new setting joins the suit of privacy-centered features of WhatsApp, which includes invisible messages and chat locks.
