Ward Lack of Throw -Throw means you need to use a digital keystone
Is it … looking at me?
Mainstream TV companies occasionally spread to the projector market and even if good results are available with Sony’s high-end models, other brands may have limited success. TCL, a company is best known for its big TVs, this is a little projector, A1 and it’s somewhat strange. It works separately to a few things compared to most projectors and when I do everything to try new things, in this case the results are mixed steadily.
The price of the list is only $ 500 in mind (and it is currently below the bottom $ 400 on Amazon), Its acting is quite light. Some aspects of its image are modest, others are not. Probably the most weirdest is the lack of a Ward -oriented throw, which I will explain further about the bottom, but it basically means you need to use the keystone correction. It’s something that I usually advise to avoid because it leads to the quality of the poor image. Meanwhile, it also packs Google TV streaming, a clever handle/stand design and overall fairly attractive appearances. However, they only partially produce its defects.
Glasses and this national
- Resolution: 1,920×1,080 pixels
- HDR-compatible: Yes
- 4K-compatible: Yes
- 3d-compatible: No
- Lumens Space: 360
- Zoom: No
- Lens Shift: No
- Lamp Life (General Mode): Not listed, but it is LED, so for a while
It is always great to see 1080p present in a low -priced projector like it. The 360 lumen rating for its size and price projector is a bit lower, but surprisingly it is less than my measure. Last time I can’t remember. I got about 433 lumen, which is not yet too much for the budget projector but it is brilliant than Ankar Mars 3 Air (252 lumens). On the contrary, the ratio was 2,522: 1 exceptional, perhaps because of the general lens of the projector and it is the maximum to be measured in a sub-$ 1000 model. However, the uniformity of the brightness (equally bright throughout the whole image) was quite weak.
One of the aspects that you cannot pick up from the photos are the handle carrying through the projector’s body. Push it down and it turns into the front of the projector’s front to support. This is a cute design, but it makes a different problem compound.
There is no lens shift or zoom, though it is not uncommon for this class pze. What is unusual is a lack of ward -oriented throwing. Almost every projector projects its image from its lens to the top. Usually it results in the height of the projector or at the bottom of the screen/wall image above. It allows to set space on a coffee table, say, the image is rational. Or, it turns it upside down, mounting the projector to the ceiling while projecting the image in the middle of a wall.
Lack of Ward -Ward Throw of A1 means that it needs to be set up the dead center on a screen. In recent memories I reviewed it was just like Ultrachip Vimgo P 10 without any lens shift. This projector, attractively, shared a number of designs with A1, it is not always a-tawa design in the eyes.
The decision to work in TCL basically means that you need to deal with a trapezoidal image, or always use the keystone correction, since you need to hold the front for a project on a wall to keep A1 on the floor. This is, unless you want to see half the image on your carpet. The keystone correction reduces the resolution and we usually suggest avoiding it, in this case it is something difficult to do. Is this not a delbreaker for a cheap projector for the perfection of the image? I don’t guess. That’s right … odd.
Connection
- HDMI Input: 1
- USB Port: 1
- Audio: Headphone output, Bluetooth input
- Internet: Wi-Fi
- Remote: Not backlit
There is a Google TV inside, so you have access to any streaming service you like. All are regular here like Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, etc. A single HDMI input allows you to connect a game console.
Two 8 watts speaker drivers are packed inside A1. These words are amazingly well. There is a lot of alloy, and the trigol is smooth and easier to hear than most projectors, even bigger. The word even plays quite loudly, although in high amounts it breaks somewhat and the shaft is reduced, it is fairly common for this national device. You can use it as a little larger portable speaker. If you want more then there is a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can connect to some analogs.
Compare the quality of the image
Anchor Neharika Mars 3 Air is my favorite one Portable projectorThe It is a bit smaller than A1 and a bit expensive, but quite capable. It looks like Apson EF21 is aimed at the market similar to the market, including a small size and built -in streaming. Nevertheless, the price of the Epson list is very high for $ 900, though it is regularly $ 650, which is more reasonable for what you get. I have attached each of them to a monopress 1×4 distribution amplifier and saw them by 102 inches, 1.0-perforation screen along with them.
Apson is brighter than the other two projectors, even in its most accurate mode. Put it in its dynamic mode and you hits the quality of a little figure but then it is even brighter. However, the ratio is quite weak, so the dark parts of its image are brighter than the dark parts of TCL and Ankar’s images. It looks flat than them. Black bars are extremely bright gray in Letterboxed movies. TCL looks the most opposite so far. Generally, it will be slam-dunk from a head to head competition, but the other aspects of the image disappoint it.
Color is probably where they all look the most different. Appson looks quite natural, it creates more pleasant and more accurate images. That is why, as I mentioned in the review, it looks better than the number. Anchor is okay color-intellectual. Nothing is clearly strange, but it lacks apps of apps.
TCL is not great. Its colors, here as well, are less lively than others. The red and the vegetables are especially noticeably as follows. For example, Thor: Ragnarok’s “Welcome to Sakar” scene was flashing, TCL Reds was more pink than others. It has been off enough that you see it and think “something is wrong?” No, but it creates a much less impressive image. In general, the color is not so important, say, the ratio of brightness and contrast, but has been done properly, it can help a lot as proved by Apson.
Although the ankar contrast is better than apps, it also crushes the details of the shadow, which actually makes its image more artificial. It’s like editing a photo so the bags under the eye are even more noticeable. In contrast to the TCL, the ratio is lifting all the heavy here. As a result of an odd-looking image as a result of the lack of uniformity. The angles of the figure are much more than the center of the center, so it is almost like watching everything through one through one Vignet FilterThe
Thus, despite the opposite ratio, the Apson has become the most worthy of the three. However, and there is a big warning here, before you click on this review, I remember these three judges that you can get the apps for $ 650 as this article, on the basis of this idea. If Apson is the original $ 900, which will be taunted for its performance, the TCL will be easy. Nevertheless, a $ 150- $ 250 gap is nothing, and the better speakers of TCL are a strong “value ad”.
Is it … looking at me?
On the one hand, I like this new (-S) varieties of cheap-yet-enabled projectors. Google TV category has been a true game-chanter. I like the idea of a little device you can pull a shelf and keep a single movie night with a single cable and minimum noise. When you can get more performance, which means a larger, bright, better look image for projectors, for a little more money, everything is now “a little more”, but why not save some to get comfortable confusion?
Keeping in mind, I am still not selling perfectly at A1. It’s somewhat… weird. I’m not against the odds. I Weird handle/stand is a smart design. The speakers are great for the projector. The size is correct. The colors of the image are not correct, but I have seen worse. Its brightness is good and the opposite is great. For me, though I was difficult to survive. I hate the keystone correction as it means you are losing resolution.
People who don’t worry about it, or simply planning to use it to watch casual (or kids), are bigger than Apson or anchor and they are also $ 100 to $ 250 expensive. Thus, the price of A1 and the use of the purpose is usually quite good because of the use. It’s better than Samsung Friesel, I’ll give it it.
