Google is Tweeting How to appear in the exploration of sponsored results. To proceed, it will split any text ad on the search page into a “sponsored result” section that will appear on the top of the screen. The size of the ads is unchanged and Google says no more than four advertisements in any grouping. Once you cross the section with ads, you can click a button to hide all sponsored results.
According to Google, “new design people are more easily navigated at the top of the page” is probably because people are accustomed to using the results in search results in the bottom. Google’s announcement has even mentioned that the sponsored tab can be displayed on top or bottom of its AI-based summary. There will be the “Sponsored Result” section that can only be hidden after you see these hits.
The new method is currently rotating worldwide on mobile and desktop platforms.
