Google Announced this week Starting on October 25, it will no longer support or express software updates for the first and second generation home learning thermostats. And it will completely stop turning on new nest products in Europe.
This means that the owners of Nest Thermostats, published in 20 and 212 (as well as versions published in Europe in 20), will not accept updates and their devices will no longer be supported on home and home applications. They will, of course, will be able to adjust the temperature and schedule directly to their device.
“To make full investment [future] Progress and our latest generation brings out the most cutting edge features in the nest thermostats, we will move away from supporting our three old devices, each of which is a decade old, “Google said.
Why it no longer launches nest thermostats in Europe, the agency has added, “Europe’s heating systems are unique and there are various types of hardware and software requirements that make it challenging for different home sets.” Existing home devices will still be sold in Europe while supplying.
