Instagram Declaration It is updating its map feature to make it easier to see if you are sharing your position on Monday. The Social Network also announced that it was launching a snap map to Indian users following the initial rollout of users in the United States and Canada in August.
After the feature was first launched, it requested to share the location of users in lots of social media posts, with which there was widespread confusion, Mislead It was enabled by default. At that time, Instagram chief Adam Mossi assured users that if they decided to share it, their position was only visible to others.
Now, two months later, the Instagram is adding more prominent index to the top of the map so that the users are sharing their position, or to remind whether their device’s position is completely closed. There is also a new index that appears on the Note tray on the DMS page in the photo of their profile in which they do not share their position.
In addition, users initially believed that tagging a position on their posts means they were sharing their real-time position on the map, as their profile image would appear above the content. However, this is not the case because the feature simply pulls on posts with location tags. To reduce the confusion, Instagram has now removed the profile photos from the map content that makes it clear that it does not indicate anyone’s current position.
Instagram users are also going to show an educational reminder that they will be created on the map when they add a location tag to a story, reel or post. It is noted that this is not exactly new, because the location tag was visible to the users in the scene of its map on Instagram.
And to make it further clear, Instagram will now show a preview to show users how to look at how they look at the map when adding any location to Instagram content.
With its new map features, Instagram has copied another popular feature from Snapchat after cloneing the effects of the main stories of the app in 2016.
