The UK retailer cooperative group says it has closed a few of the ITS system by quoting an attempt cyberratetack.
Co-op spokesman Mark Carrington says the company has tried “recently experience” to enter some of the hackers’ systems and has taken a “practice step” to protect these systems. The spokesman said the company’s back office and call center functions were facing some disruption as a result.
It is not clear whether the effort to try is successful.
Co-up-5 with more than 5 million members of the UK’s largest food retailers say its stores are operating naturally, and it is not saying “to do something” at the moment.
When asked via TechCrunch, the specific nature of the co-op will not describe such as ransomware, or if it is not known, or if it is not said that it has been disclosed as the UK’s Data Protection Regulator, Information Commissioner’s Office, suspicious information violation. The company has confirmed that it is working with the National Cyber Protection Center.
The co-op’s spokesperson will not say whether the threats were in such a contact with such a ransomware gang.
The UK retailer Marx and Spencer confirmed the issue of a cybertack, a few days after the co-up disruption, which made customers unable to order their order. The retailer says it has notified the UK data controller in the incident, indicating a possible data violation. The ongoing disruption in Marx and Spencer has entered the second week since then.
