The $ 300 Moto G Power The lowest price motorola phone that I confident can recommend the company’s 2025 lineup. Even after using it for several weeks, Moto G Shakti never disappointed me while performing any of my regular tasks. If you are already a Motorola fan this phone is a great option that can handle the basics without breaking the bank.
It does not listen to high praise, but compares the laziness I felt during the 200 dollar Moto G exam, the extra $ 100 goes a long way. Moto G Power provides sufficient extra energy to allow gaming in smooth multitasking, video calls, low graphics settings and can also take decent photos of food in bright settings as well as concerts in the settings.
A special highlight of charging speed; During my battery test, Moto G Power battery went from 0 to 61% when it was driven with the wired charger, which is actually faster than the phone’s version of the phone. It is with 15W Wireless charging but like most Android phones, you need to get a third party case if you want to use the phone with magnetic Q2 chargerThe

Quick charging is particularly helpful that the power has a large 6.8-inch 1,080p display which runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, which can drop the battery down when more intensive use. This display makes the videos easier for streaming, texting and light gaming, but it does not supply the color of HDR, especially the other $ 300 phones like OnePlus Nord N 30. However, it is basically an OK trade off for low -cost phones.
My benchmark examination on the phone’s MediaTek Dimensity 6300 has performed a bit better than $ 200 Moto G (with the same processor), including more graphically intense 3 Demark Wildlife Extreme Test and more focused focus 6.0.

Out of gaming, I didn’t face any problems. I didn’t have any problems with my normal routine to watch YouTube, browse websites and make video calls. However, the phone fought to maintain 60fps while playing the Marvel Snap card game in medium settings. 8GB memory of the phone – 4GB doubles available in Moto G – perhaps the phone helps to run more efficiently in daily use. This is the complete opposite of Moto G, which I think is just useful without enable the RAM Boost feature of the motorola, which converts a section of storage into virtual memory. The default “AI” mode works very well to determine how much the power is needed.
Moto G Power has a 50-megapixel wide camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The photos taken by both the rear camera setup (50-megapixel wide and 8-megapixel ultrawide) and the 16-megapixel selfie camera get my photos requirements, but mainly lack of subtle details.
For example, this closeup of a macarney and cheese dish taken out shows you dish, but we do not get the details of the lick Roux or breadcrumbs. In fact, everything around the dish seems to be vague.

I took the phone with me to see the Kylie minig at Madison Square Garden and I think the phone was able to capture some of the singer’s details with its choreographers. It is a type of photo that will fight more expensive phones, so I’m glad that it did not dissolve in a completely blurred mess.

The front camera also exceeded my expectations while lifting a selfie. I used selfie lights – which is painfully obvious in the flash of my glasses – but most of my faces and shirts are showing crisp. My hair is mixed with darkness and the sound of the noticeable image around me. However, these are even challenging conditions for phones at $ 500, so it is not bad for $ 300 at all.

The cameras can capture 1080p video in 30 FPS resolutions, which was enough for the band Anubarlin’s footage capture in a different show that I participated last week, but acknowledged that the footage was not very detailed. This is enough to save memories quickly, but I don’t want to play them again on any TV.
Moto G Power runs on Android 15. It will get a two -year big software update and three -year security updates.
Although I did not immerse Moto G energy during my exam, I appreciate that its IP 68 and IP 69 ratings imply that it can easily survive a sink or pool drops. Even a durable outward cannot make a mask in its largest weaknesses; Motorola relatively short software and security support timeline. The phone will get only two -year -old Android update and three -year security updates support. Although I still have been able to test Samsung’s new Galaxy A lineup, one of the largest competitors of Moto G, Samsung is promising six years of software and security updates. This is a principle that I hope to be Motorola recurring, because the Moto G Line can become more extensive alternatives for the ongoing phone buyers about the ongoing news that can increase the cost of electronics.
As long as you can check your expectations about the three -year lifetime of the phone, Moto G Energy can be an effective alternative to anyone who needs only a basic phone without excess frill.

How do we check the phones
Each phone CNET review team tests are used in the real world. We check the features of a phone, play games and take photos. We test to see if the display is bright, sharp and vibrant. We analyze and create the design to see if it should hold it and whether it has an IP rating for water resistance. We use the processor’s performance to the final of the processor by using standardized benchmark tools like Gikbench and 3 Demark, navigating our own my own interface, recording high-resolution videos and playing graphically at high refresh rates to finalize the final.
All cameras are tested in different situations in the dark indo scene from the bright sunlight. We try special features like night mode and portrait mode and likewise compare our searching with the price competitive phones. We check the battery life daily as well as testing a series of battery drain tests.
We consider additional features such as 5G, satellite connectivity, fingerprint and face sensor, styleus support, rapid charging speed and additional features for folding display that may be effective in others. That phone balances you with all this on that phone, no matter what the price is, it actually represents good quality. Although these tests may not always be reflected in the initial review of the CNET, we do follow -up and long -term tests in most situations.
