For those who may not be familiar with his background, the Mitsotakis brings an attractive mixture of experience at the table. Before entering politics, he worked in both McKinny and Chase Investment Bank, giving him his first experience in the business world, which could appreciate many operators across the startup ecosystem. The youngest of the four children, some of his Silicon Valley-Esk, also has academic certificates-he moved to Harvard, then went to Stanford to earn a postgraduate degree in international relations, and eventually occupied Harvard Business at the MBA for the future of Greece.
Mitsotakis has been championing Greece for many years. In fact, after navigating the country through the epidemic, he doubled Athens as an emerging technology center, recently introduced initiatives to attract international talent, including tax incentives and reforms to cut bureaucratic red tapes for new business.
The Prime Minister came from a political family – his father was the Prime Minister and his sister was the mayor of Athens – but he gained his reputation as a reformer focusing on the modernization of the Greek economy. His administration is especially interested in how the famous Greek power can be diversified as technology shipping and tourism.
