People are fairly confident with the skill of working with artificial intelligence tools AI will have a positive impact in the next 20 yearsHowever, some of the US adults feel the same in comparison, according to the results of a survey by the Pew Research Center.

In the past few years, generators like Openai Chatzipt have pushed the issue of AI tools into the mainstream. Pew said that part of the public who say that they are more concerned, they have grown since the same survey in 2021.

56% of AI experts say they have expected the impact of AI in the United States in the next 20 years. On the contrary, only 17% of the people had the view of the people, with 35% of feelings, AI would have a negative impact. (In AI experts, 15% of the negative impact))

One of the major reasons for the interval is that ordinary Americans are much less optimistic about the effects of AI in their lives, such as workplace, health care and education. Although 735% of experts say they hope that people will improve their work, for example, only 20% of the surveyed US adults felt the same.

All artificial intelligence has not been the same as generator AI models since 2022, which has grown in prominency since 2022, but the popularity of other large language models like ChatzPT and Google’s Gemini has created a competition between technology agencies and which may feel like promoting a saturation of AI features on daily applications and devices. It has obtained mixed reactions from customers. A 2024 CNET survey has found many smartphone users about AI integration like Apple Intelligence.

The PU Report published this week contains a pair of surveys. US adults were voted as part of the Pure American Trends Panel, a survey of random elected adults conducted in August 2021. Experts are from a panel of 5 people living in the United States whose work or research is related to AI and those who have been presented or published in 21 and 21 various AI-focused references in 2023 and 2023.

“These surveys reveal both the deep division and general field of AI,” the report said. “AI experts are much more positive about the possibility of AI with jobs. Nevertheless, both groups seek more personal control of AI and expressed concern about the government’s supervision.”

Concerns about AI in the workplace

Both groups were not optimistic that AI would lead to more jobs in the United States in the next 20 years. AI experts expected 19% more jobs, when 39% expected. Skyo was much higher among the general public -5% less than 5% of the job expects and only 5% expect more.

Which jobs are most at risk, both groups agreed that cashier and journalists were weak. Despite the progress in the use of AI chatboat for therapy, no group had a large number of mental health therapists expected to do job losses.

Most AI experts,% 5% said they expected the loss of jobs for truck drivers compared to only 5% for the general public. Driverless trucks were a dream for the autonomous vehicle industry that the chatzP was a family word much longer, though the survey showed that the idea was not yet caught with the common man. An AI expert quoted anonymously in this report, especially highlighting the truck drivers, saying “They will probably go to 10, 20 years.”

Even for those who continue to exist, despite the AI, the work done by humans can change. IBM’s Chief Human Resource Officer Nickel Lamorax last month told a south -west audience that it would change the qualities that the companies would change among the workers, forced them to focus on critical thoughts and human qualities.

Despite the hype, AI equipment has not yet made a lot of dents in the workplace. A separate Pew survey published in February showed that only sixth workers in the United States were using AI in their jobs and the majority said they did not use chatboat at all or rarely use them.

Americans are more concerned than excited about AI

There were virtually mirror images of the question of whether people were more concerned or excited about the increased use of AI. About 5% of the common people were worried, and 47% of AI experts say they are even more excited.

Experts quoted in the report pointed to topics such as automation of repetitive acts and possible improvements in treatment. “It is most excited about the positive impact on the health industry,” said one expert.

Anxiety, of course, is significant. Things such as misinformation (or “dipfkes”) and misuse of personal information were quoted by both the public and the expert. He said it was much more concerned about the loss of jobs than the public experts.
