The majority of high school students (5 %%) say that AI helps to reduce the concerns they feel about mathematics study. It is according to a March survey Wales conducted by the 1,500 11th and 12th grade in the United States and a sixth year student of the UK and Wales and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
Most students surveyed (%5%) say that AI gives them immediate support, reactions and clarification. The results indicate anxiety in mathematics education around learning in an irrational setting (such as other students should not ask questions), and to make mathematics more accessible and understandable using AI.
However, the results of the teachers are different. Of the 250 teachers surveyed, only 19% agreed on AI’s anxiety impact, but about half of them (49%) say they see the value of using AI to help you learn math concepts not just answering mathematics problems.
