The US Rollout begins today for the Pulls Identification Features, which started today at Google Pixel 3. The feature detects when your pulse is lost and you can automatically call urgent services if you are in response. You can expect that a prompt to enable it will pop up on your clock. If this is not yet happening, don’t worry that the-rol-out is estimated to last a few weeks.

Google Declare the loss of pulse Identification features in 2024 for selected EU countries and FDA exemption in the United States in February.

The clock uses an AI-based algorithm to monitor your pulse and signals from the existing multipath heart rate sensor (flashing green light on the back of the watch). If it suspects that your pulse is lost, additional sensor signals will be activated to find the pulse or identify the movement.

When nothing can be detected, the clock asks you with the initial check-in. If you do not respond to the clock message and no speed can be detected, a loud alarm will play and a countdown will appear on the screen. Then, an emergency service call is set up on your LTE smartwatch or phone. An automated message about the pulse and reduction of your position will be shared with emergency operators.

Although the pulse detection feature has not been damaged for a particular health condition, it is another feature of the impressive catalogs of Pixel 3 and the impressive catalog of health features such as falling and irregular heart notifications. As a Google Pixel user, I am happy to see another feature in the treatment protection space, especially for one where immediate intervention is necessary.
