He also did not agree with the Redfin FTC’s allegations, saying “It was clear by the end of 2021 that existing Redfin advertising customers could not equate our cost of sales power.” The company suggested that “Partnership with Jillo has deducted these expenditures and enables to invest more in rented fare in Redfin, directly benefiting the apartment seekers.”
The FTC has also alleged that Redfin had surpassed hundreds of workers as part of the agreement, and Jillo was about to help some of these workers recruit. Basically, the company is accusing Jillo of gaining a large part of the Redfin business, while all is hiding the concept of partnership to avoid scrutiny. The FTC has asked the court to end the agreement and consider the division of assets.
