Amazon published its second generation Kindle writer a year ago, so it was a bit surprised to see the three new scribes, including a flagship color model, Kindle Scribe ColorSoftIts fall product is at the launch event.

Unlike some of Amazon’s devices update, which is quite repetitive and only small improvement features, these scribes are truly new products. None of these is still available for Prizer, but says Amazon Kindle Scribe with the front light And Kindle Scribe Colorsoft will send for the holiday season later this year. Level Kindle scribbles without the front light Will come early in 2026.

They’re not cheap. The new entry-level Kindle Scribe carries a list of $ 430, while the Step-up Kindle Scribe with Front Lights is priced at $ 500 (2024 Kindle Scribe has a front light and a list of $ 400). To get the color, you need to make a $ 630 shell for the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. Not coincidentally, that’s right Extraordinary colored paper pro e-ink tablet Spending

Upgrade of four key key

There are a few key upgrades of the new scribes that let you forgive the price bump. For starters, they have an 11 -inch screen (compared to 10.2 inches) while staying in chassis similar to their previous model. Size gains come from small bezel and screens have designed newly “display stacks” with a new mini-LED light system. Also, the new scribes are somewhat thin, only 5.4 mm thick and 400 grams light (compared to the previous model compared to 430 grams). They are driven by a new custom mediatake processor that Amazon says that 40% of the performance provides boost. (Remember that none of the new scribes are waterproofing like Kindle Pepperheit or Kindle ColorSoft)))

The Kindle Scribe looks good in this national environment without the front light (left). Front lights (right) co -authors are probably the right option for most people. The photo contains the light, and the screen looks a bit different in a well -enlightened environment with illumination.

Another change is a battery -free premium pen. Based on the customer’s response, Amazon says it has made it shorter and thicker, improved its organomics. Its magnet seems to be stronger because you can now pick the tablet with a pen when it is stuck on the edge of the author.

Amazon thus describes the author upgrades:

  • A new front light system with miniature LEDs that fits tightly against the display to create narrow bezel and uniform lighting.
  • When the pen glide across the screen is a new texture-torn glass to improve friction.
  • A re -rescheduled display stack to shrink the parallex without virtually nothing, so it looks like writing directly on the surface.
  • A new MediaTek quad-core chip, more memory and new custom oxide display technology so that everything seems snapier.

The new premium pen has a strong magnetic.

Yes, new scribes seem to be zippier

Amazon simply allowed limited access to new scrubs in the event, but when using the styleus I got the feeling of performance boost. One of the goals for this type of E ink tablets is that it seems like you are writing on paper, which includes an ever-beautiful textured surface and virtually any lag with pen stroke.

Dudling with the pen was felt smooth and more lifetime than what I had experienced with the second-general Kindle Scribe. I also thought that the contrast with these new models was a bit better, including 300 PPI (Pixel-inch) E ink display, although this number has come down to 150 PPI for color (this is somewhat disappointing). I need to be compared along with the previous author, as well as how faster the page is while reading.

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft uses the same e ink color display technology but the colors seem to be a bit more pop. This is probably due to the re -design of the display stack, but it can also be an optical maya for the larger screen.

When the device was first launched, there was a problem with Amazon with some yellow tinging under the display, including some colorful units and had to break shipping for a few weeks. Probably, it can avoid these problems with the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft (I haven’t seen any yellow tinging).

One of the greater benefits from the monochromatic author to the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is what it does to comment the text and documents. You can make notes and highlights in different colors, which help to separate from each other.

New Kindle feature is coming

As part of the launch, Amazon highlighted some new AI-based features for the author that should be found in the original and second generation screens and even Kindle Pepperheth and Entry-level Kindle (they will come out in Kindle iOS and Android apps) for the previous Kindles.

In the meantime The story is the story so far, which gives you a quick AI-exposed recovery of what happened to the last time. Ask this book to highlight any passage in the text while reading a book of readers and can get a speler-free answer to questions about the character’s purpose or the significance of the significance of a scene.

The final impression of the new Kindle Scribes

When Amazon launched the original writer three years ago in late 2022, the fans of extraordinary E ink tablets were defective for not taking notes and document marksup capabilities. This first author seemed to have found more audiences with the spectacular-challenged Kindle users who wanted to prefer the jambo e-radi Kindle DX, which was closed in 2002.

Since then, Amazon has focused on improving the productivity and note-taking features because it is in the court of young customers, college students or professionals looking for a digital notebook that also acts as a great e-Reder.

Having two monochromatic scribes can cause some concern, but I suspect that more people will choose the author with front lights because if you spend on a tablet-style e-rider (or any e-rider, this matter) it seems a bit crazy for not getting light.

Prices seem to be high, but there is a team of enthusiastic e ink digital notebook users who should apply for these new Kindle Scribes. For those who are immersed in the Amazon eBook eBosystem, the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft seems to be a compulsory alternative to large 11.8-inch paper Pro (only 5.1mm thick), which does not have light schemes but has higher pixel density (229 ppi) for colorful materials. It was said that its pixel density for black and white content is only 229 ppi compared to 300 ppi for Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, so the text does not appear as sharp.

As soon as I get the review samples, I will complete the complete review of all my new Kindle scribes.
