Apple could draw a lot of attention to the so -called Scratchgate Fiasco when publishing its latest iPhones, but I was working with another problem after switching to the iPhone Air.
I had trouble placing and receiving my calls using the slim phone in my first few weeks. Even after my phone was closed again, I had a period of time that I lost the service.
After digging online, it seemed like others were feeling the same problem. Phone Indicated Reddit Thread The owners of the iPhone have quoted the cell signals regardless of whether the service with Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile. I have shifted my Verizon Service from my iPhone 16 Pro Max to the iPhone Air and just started problems after doing so.

Just as I was about to resign and switch my service to my old iPhone, Apple rolls out an update with the iOS 26.0.1 designed to solve the problem. According to the release note, Apple says this update will solve the fact that “a small number of iPhone users may be unable to connect to the cellular network after updating on the iPhone 26.”
Cellular network problems should be fixed in other problems including IOS 26.0.1 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The conflicts I felt was scattered. One day, my friend taped that he was trying to call me, but it wasn’t going; I had to do radial a few times before I reached her. The same thing happened with a handful of other calls I tried to keep. The other day, my mother repeatedly tried to contact me, and sometimes directly operated directly in voicemell – as there were several other calls. I just became aware of this failed call attempt because someone notified me later about them; There is no way to know how many rings I actually missed.
The most disappointment example was when I was out of shopping with my friend and I lost several hours of service. My phone remains in SOS mode, even after I restarted it and I had to hunt me for in-stor wi-Fi to send me my correct position so she could find me. (Both of us have Verizons and his iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is still running iOS 18, was not a problem))
I have asked my CNET colleagues if they face the same kind of problem and it appears that my experience with the iPhone Air was an external. I have no problem with iPhone 17, or Patrick Holland’s iPhone 17 Pro Max or Jeff Carlson’s iPhone 17 Pro.
When I saw the iOS 26.0.1 I was immediately updated my phone. So I hope my mother doesn’t think I am ignoring her calls anymore.
