When Apple publishes iOS 26 on September 15, the update included a call screening feature to help block spam calls on your iPhone and can screen the text to keep your inbox spam free. The messages with iOS 26 can hide the notifications and filter the messages of unknown sender and spam text so they don’t get your inbox stuck.

When these features are enabled, those messages will be filtered in their own folder in messages without changing you. When these messages are done in their respective folders, you can see them at your own pace to ensure that you have not missed anything important, or you can delete them without a second thought.

Capable Screene Any message from unknown numbers can filter. Thus, it can filter a message from a family member who has just got a new phone number, or a message to ask reactions to services. For example, my wife and I requested for a City service and after the service ended, the city sent me a message to me asking me. However since the message came from an unknown sender, it was filtered from my inbox.

My device also said that the messages of unknown sender can also be marked as spam and can be transmitted to your spam folder. If the non-spam message goes back, it is a good idea to check the folders from time to time, but I never had this problem.

Where do you find spam and unknown sender folders

Once your iPhone filters the unknown sender and spam messages you can find them in messages. To view these messages, go to messages and tap the pyramid icon turned upside down at the top right corner of the screen. This will open a new menu that shows you different folders for each filter, including unknown sender, transaction and spam. Tap on any of these to see filtered messages.

Then your iPhone will ask you to add the sender to your contacts.

Although these filters are pretty good. I don’t need to remove messages from spam or unknown sender once, so you don’t even need it.
