Meta previews an API for its Llama AI models

At his inaugural Llamacon AI developer conference on Tuesday, Meta announced an API for its AI models Lama series: The Lama API.

Available Limited previewLama allows API developers to explore and examine the products powered by different Lama models per meta. Consistent with Mater SDKs, it allows developers to create lamina -driven services, equipment and applications. Meta did not immediately share the price of API with TechCrunch.

The API rollout comes when the meta is severely competitively exposed to a lead to maintain a lead in the space space. According to the meta, Llama models have highlighted more than one billion downloads today, and rivals like DEPSEC and Alibaba have threatened to encourage Meta’s efforts to establish far -reaching ecology with Lama.

Meta says it will not use Lama API customer data for training the company’s own models and the models created using the Lama API may be transferred to another host.

Metter provides model-review options through partnership with API cerebra and gruk for the Devs Building at the top of the recently released Lama 4 model. These “preliminary experimental” options developers have “available by request” to help them prototype their AI applications, Meta.
