Starting this month, Google has been making a huge change in its smart home technology with a new manifestation of the nest camera, which has been greater than its many year old gadgets. This means a lot of new AI smarts, a few naming changes and many new strategies.
Big changes like this mean to be accustomed to a new technology ecosystem, especially for fans of Google Home and previous Nest devices. I scored all the big changes that Google made, the new devices you could buy and what would come.

Nest got a rebuilding with three upgraded Google Home Devices
Google Home has a new application, device and Gemini energy.
If you are fond of the nest, don’t be afraid: Google Home and Nest devices are not going anywhere – the name of the nest is taking more backset under the new “Google Home” union. Your existing home devices will continue to get full support for the near future-and Google is also adding three new products: the next generation, the AI-centric models of its home security cameras that CNET got an up-closed appearance.
- Google Nest Indoor Camera, Caired ($ 100): Third-generate CAM2 upgrade to resolution, advanced night vision and more broad fields, while holding most of the second-general nest design, despite having more color options.
- Google Nest Outdoor camera, wired ($ 150): Similar to the indoor model, this third-gener CAM also has 2K resolution, as well as a new coating for advanced UV protection.
- Google Nest Video Dorbell, Wired ($ 180): The new Google Home Dorbell 2K 2K resolutions and many broad fields of view, the footage captures many more zones around the visitors while zooming during the event capture to make it easier to review.
These three cameras are available for sale today. Two important things from my own experience: first, battery -powered models have no sign, which includes a bit of disappointment in the previous nest line.
Secondly, I have always been a big fan of the free features included in Google with its home cameras. Many contestants lock similar features like basic AI packages/individual identification and 3 hours free video storage – behind the subscription. In this new generation, 6 hours of free storage of 10-sector video clips from Google cam or doorbell is doubled, which makes it even more attractive to people who want to avoid subscription.
Gemini’s AI Google Assistant
Google is replacing homes and bringing new devices.
We know for several months that Google’s Gemi AI is about to replace Google Assistant to the smart home as a new voice assistant. That means Google Assistant is actually no longer and considers Complaints in recent years About the wrong reaction, I don’t think that many people will miss it.
Although “Hey Google” activation is the same, you will wake up a new assistant. It is called Gemi for the house and it offers many conversations, such as recognizing casual language, reacting to a more natural voice and answering with improved accuracy. This is a group of separate-googles from other versions of Gemini focus more on smart home needs Very Creative in its reactions. This is not a profit of home users, who need more reliable answers.
Gemini brings new features for home, some of which I have already seen and tested in recent months. It includes captions for notifications that describe the events in detail – even names people who recognize the cameras whether you are able to detect voice. Gemsties can also provide daily briefs, the cameras briefly summarize everything in capture and you can customize these summons to highlight the most careful people or events. You can ask it more free questions, such as “ate some of my plants last night?” To get specific answers from what Geninee recognizes in the video footage.
Camera settings on Google Home App.
Inside the smart home, Gemini can handle complex automation requests. Among these are add-on commands (“Oh, and lock the front door, too”), exceptions (“turn off all the lights except two bedrooms”) and one-time routine (“Tuesday evening, turn the lights on and unlock the door for the party”). However, it all depends on the settings such as lock, speakers or lights on a third party smart device. Yet, there are still many potential.
Who gets this new domestic version of Gemini? Basically, everyone with Google Home or Nest device provides subscriptions – it’s more below. Google is making a consistent jewelery on the back of 2015 on the whole way, so if you have a home or Android device that can listen to you, it is about to get a Gemini. However, it will not be for third party smart speakers at the moment.
When we are moving out of Google Assistant Fresing on CNET, you will probably see it still in glasses for a home security system and one or two years for smart devices. However, if it says Google Assistant, it should still be connected to Google Home and Jemini in most cases.
Google Home app has a full new look now
Automation options for Google Home.
Google Google Home app is new to the house as well as Jemini for home. The new version is more flowing and swimming. It also loads 30% faster live views than previous versions.
Google Home will still have a wide search bar where you have those capabilities if you have that power with three simplified screens for home, activity and automation, you can talk to Jemini for home. Reviewing the camera footage of the past has become more organic experiences, with the clips passing through the video transferred and accelerated. The app can be updated on the new version on October 1.
Google Home Premium appears as an all-one subscription
Now for home power-ups to determine the price in this Gemini. The Old Nest Subscription for Google Home Camera has gone along with the rest of the Nest branding. It has the entire Home Google Home Premium Plan that cover all Google Home devices, including new and old security cameras, nest speakers and nest smart display.
Google Home Premium will be given at two levels, the base plan will start at $ 10 a month. Both levels include access to Jemini for home features. If you do not pay rather than pay you still get the same free features, including many more limited voice assistants.
A new Google Home smart speaker has been planned for this spring
Google also plans to release a new smart speaker.
However, Google has not yet completed its smart home plans. Another Device – $ 100 Google Home Speaker – Google Google Google describes it as a Gemini. It looks like a nest mini speaker in steroids and provides 360-degree sound and access to all these new home control options. No new smart display like the Nest Hub still has no words, but it can also go on its way.
