Safari Update Now Shows Your Recent Searches: Here’s How to Turn It Off

Safari is making a bit difficult to ignore your past search, latest iOS 18.4.1 Update: Recent searches are now displayed prominently on a list.

Past searches aims at the latest iPados update make the past searches spotting and rewriting. Although this information is always stored in the history of your search, Apple now brings it forward by displaying recent searches while you tap the search bar every time you tap the search bar.

At the same time, however, it can cause chaos for some customers or to increase the anxiety of privacy.

The list of recent search includes a “Clear All” option, which removes entries, but new ones will be present over time.

How to turn it off

To make the feature completely disable, here is a quick guide:

Go Settings> App> Safari, Then -off to toggle Show recent searches.

It is noteworthy that Safari will still save your search history – it will not just appear on the list.

To prevent searches from storing, open the tabs button and switch to the personal section and open a private browsing window.

To delete your full browsing history, Settings> App> Safari> History and website Data, then choose how far you want to clear.
