Uber Atlanta invites to join customers in a list if they are interested in recognizing a Wimo robotux because companies are ready to launch commercial services in the city.

Uber and Wemo announced a plan to provide a Robotaxi service in Austin and Atlanta in early 2025 as part of an expanded partnership last September. In March, companies launched a “Wemo on Uber” robotuxi service offer in Austin, about a month after opening “interest list” for customers.

Companies said on Tuesday that the public would be able to welcome a robotux of Atlanta this summer.

For two companies, the “Wemo on Uber” service divides the ownership and management responsibilities of a driverless vehicle: Uber is charging, maintaining and cleaning the autonomous vehicles, as well as conducting access to Robotaxis, along with WiMo technology and autonomous activities.

Under the partnership, only Uber users can appreciate WiMO’s autonomous Jaguar I-Pess vehicles.

Relationships between the two companies have taken a 180-degree twist since the beginning of 2018, when they moved towards a trial that it was alleged that the trade under Uber Weem had stolen privacy. The case was settled on February 2018.

In the seven years of this settlement, Wemo provides commercial robotaxi services to Phoenix, develop, test and finally. The alphabet agency later expanded its commercial service in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Uber took a further wind to supply commercial robotaxi services. Following the settlement, the RideShire company has been operating its own internal autonomous vehicle unit for two more years. It will sell the auxiliary company in a complex agreement with Arora in December 2020.

However, Uber soon began to increase its position in the emerging Robotuxi market by partnering with autonomous vehicles developers. The company has signed a contract with 14 autonomous vehicles that covers ride-hilling, distribution and trucking-in which some of the main mainly working commercially are working. In December, Uber Abu Dhabi launched Robotaxi Rides with War, and WiMo’s autonomous vehicles were found in the Uber App on Phoenix from October 2023.

Soon, Atlanta will join the growing list of cities where locals can rock the driverless car. The service will initially cover the city’s 65 square miles in suburbs, with spending and capital view regions. Companies say that there are plans to expand the operating area in the future.

Uber and Wemo said that customers who joined the list will get updates and increase their chances as a robotaxi after the service is officially launched. According to companies, signed -up customers can also get initial access before the public is available on the Wimo rides.

To join, Uber customers need to be updated in Atlanta, then go to “account” and then “Settings”. Customers can click on “Ride Preferences” from there, where they need to look at a list that includes an option for autonomous vehicles and interest list.
