Social Network X said on Thursday that it breaks its encrypted DMS feature because it works to improve something.
In a post of X, the company’s engineering account D Users will be able to access their existing encrypted messages, but they will not be able to send new. The feature did not mention when it would be available again.
After Elon Kasturi purchased Twitter, he announced the ambitious plan to overhaul the messages directly and competed with the privacy-centric messaging service signal.
The company has rolls out the encrypted DMS feature in 2023 for the users verified, but it brings several errors. For example, the feature is not available for group chats and supports encryption for text and links, not just media. It doesn’t even protect against the man-in-the-media attacks and your encrypted conversations do not carry on the new device.
