According to industry sources, Reuters reports The incident involved an Oct. 30 JetBlue flight from Cancun, Mexico to Newark, New Jersey, where the plane suddenly lost altitude and had to make an emergency landing in Tampa.
The Federal Aviation Administration has issued an emergency airworthiness directive calling for affected aircraft to revert to earlier software before flying again. A small subset will need to change their hardware, Airbus said.
