Apple announced on Tuesday that they had signed a 650 MW renewable power agreement in Europe.
It includes wind and solar projects that are either turned on or will soon be. A large part of the energy they produce will go offset by Apple customers. From Mac Pro to Apple Clock is the accounts for about one -third of the company’s carbon footprint.
Although Europe is usually not considered as a sunny continent, Apple Greece and Latvia are buying energy from several solar farms, including 110 MW, Spain 131 MW and 40 MW in Poland. Air farms will contribute a portion of Romania’s 99 MW and Italy’s 129 MW solar-air portfolio.
Separately, Apple also says that it will invest $ 150 million in China to help suppliers switch to renewable energy. In the meantime, renewable sources give strength to more than 90% of the production and production of the country.
