Autonomous Vehicle Technology Startup Aurora Innovation says it has successfully introduced a self-driving truck service in Texas, it made as the first company to set up a driverless, heavy tariff truck for commercial use on public road in the United States
The launch just as its deadline hit: In October, the company delayed its planned 2024 in April 2024, 2025. This is the first debut even after five months after providing its first autonomous truck to a commercial customer for a driverless operation in the rival Kodiac Robotics off-road environment.
Aurora says it has started running the freight this week with the Hirsbach Motor Line and Uber Freight between Dallas and Houston, and it has yet finished 1,200 miles without a driver. The company is planning to extend El Paso and Phoenix at the end of 2025.
The TechCrunch reached for more information at the launch, such as how many vehicles Aurora have deployed and the system should be applied to any poolover clever or whether the remote human assistance should be applied.
Aurora’s commercial launch comes in a challenging time. Self-driving truck companies have long kept their technology needed due to the shortage of labor in trucking and the expected growth of freight shipping. Trump’s tariffs have changed that view at least in the short term. According to an April report of the commercial vehicle industrial analysis of April Law researchVolume and consumer costs are expected to decline in the United States this year due to the decline.
Aurora will report the results of her first-thymian next week, it will also share when the current trade war is expected to influence its future business. Techchen has come to know more about how the tariff affects Aurora’s business.
Now, Aurora will probably concentrate on to continue its protection case without a driver and will work to adopt favorable policies to help expand it with state and federal MLAs.

In the beginning of the 2021, Aurora federal protection regulators filed a case against the request for a protection requirement in which a truck was to be pulled on the highway when the highway was to be pulled on the road – something that is difficult to do if there is no driver in the vehicle. In order to be in agreement with this rule and still fully deployed to driverless services, Aurora probably has a human-driven car whenever they are on their trucks.
