Apple published iOS 18.3 after publishing Apple iOS 18.3, more than two months after the release of iOS 18.3. The latest update has launched a new recipe section in Apple News and it brings a handful of new emoji to all iPhones. Update also brings priority notifications to Apple intelligent iPhones such as the iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max or iPhone 16 lineup.
“Apple intelligence can show you notifications that may be important in a separate section of the lock screen, so that you can catch what you have missed,” wrote in the description of the Apple feature. “You can still swipe to see all the notifications.”
This means that if you enable priority notifications, message notifications from your friends and family may appear close to the top of your notification stack, instead of the rings alert, apple news updates and more to be buried underneath. That way, you will first see the most important notifications to you.

When I downloaded iOS 18.4, priority notifications were closed by default, so you need to enable the feature after downloading the update.
Here is how to enable priority notifications on your iPhone. And don’t forget, only Apple intelligence-enabled iPhones can now access this feature. If you don’t have any device from the iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max or iPhone 16 lineup you still can’t access this feature.

After you tap Priority day of notificationsA Drop-Down menu will appear with all the applications you can get priority notifications from you. Each application in the menu will be able to send you priority notifications. You can go through the menu and disable a few or most applications, only specific applications allow you to send priority notifications.
For example, my priority notifications for blusky or mail are not needed, but I want the feature for messages and phones. If someone calls me is it important?
