Meta has already relocated the center of Instagram experiences on iPads and mobiles in countries like India and South Korea. Now, to allow more people to consume and understand the reels in different languages, the company is adding assistance across Instagram and Facebook its AI-driven translation feature for Hindi and Portuguese.
The company launched this feature in August with the support of the English and the Spanish after teasing its meta connect conference last year. With the support of Hindi and Portuguese, the meta aims to reach the worldwide from the largest market like India and Brazil.

“And if we can help you reach that audience who speaks in other languages, reaches cultural and linguistic obstacles, we can increase your following and help you get more value than Instagram and platform,” he added.

Users can launch automatic translations in their desired language that can be accepted that originally created in other languages.
Creators can turn on automatic translation for their reels by launching the option “Translate Your Voice Meta AI” option before publishing. They may also select which languages should be translated after reviewing the video translated with automatic dub and lip sync.

Meta says it is working on new features for AI-driven translations that will be roll out soon. Reels on Facebook already support Multi-Spicker’s AI-driven translations. Meta says that this feature will soon be available for creators to post on Instagram.

In addition to voice translations, the company is also creating a way to translate text or caption stickers posted with reels in supported language. Users will be able to select the “Reel on Rel -On Translate” option after the feature is roll out. It is useful for someone who is watching the video without words.

What’s more, Meta has planned to roll out a new voice-dubbing feature that will save the creator’s original voice and tune. The company will also give an option to choose a new version that matches your mouth better.
Meta’s rival YouTube has been working on translation features for years. Last month, the company rolls lip-sink improvements in its auto-dubbing feature with the support of 20 languages.
