Associated Press Report That more than 800,000 drivers will gain the right to join a union and collectively bid for good pay and benefits. Ramona Prito, the chief of Uber’s public policy for California, said in a statement that two bills “represent a compromise that reduces the cost for riders while making strong voices for drivers.”
