Another highly valuable startup is just added to the mixing of legal plays between ripling and deals: UK Fintec Giant Revolut.
In his blockbuster affidavit, which it comes out of a movie directly, Irish replying employee Keith O’Brien claimed that he was given $ 5,000 a month for reply spies. He alleged that the first $ 6,000 was sent to his Revlut Account, Deal’s COO Dan Westgart’s wife Alba Basha Westgarth returned in November 2024.
At that time, Alba Basha Westgart Robinhood was acting as a Crypto Compliance Lead, which was deleted according to a LinkedIn profile reviewed by TechCrunch. Robinhood told TechCrunch that he had left Robinhood earlier this year, but did not explain why.
The deleted LinkedIn profile is listed as its position in Dubai – it is the same place, it is known as a remorse shelter, where the Deal CEO and legal director are now trying to serve their papers.
According to the court record show, RIP 6,000 receipts are now being sued to get the full name and address of “Alba Basha” listed as the sender. Ripling is also looking for Things like IDS and Utility Bill – all account openings to confirm his identity.
In response, Revlut has appointed a top lawyer in Ireland. It also sent a letter in response to Ripling last week, which a lawyer from reply described as “helpful but complicated” at the court hearing.
Obviously, there is no indication or complaint that Revolut made a mistake here. The EU has strict privacy laws, so it is not easy to provide such information, especially in civic cases. An original sticking point is the Irish court itself there is no order in Revlut for providing information.
Revlut refused to comment specifically in the case, but told TechCrunch that it would generally “always obey a court order for publication.”
It is still seen whether the “Alba Basha” provides more details behind the transfer of revolute. The only other option under the European Privacy Act is the customer’s consent, which seems impossible in this case.
Deals, which denied all wrongs in the media, did not respond to any request to comment. Deal Co Dan Westgart and Alba Basha Westgart did not respond. Ripling refused to comment.
Although the proofs are not yet precise, the Irish High Court has given a formula that it can respect the desire of Arpling in some way or in size to verify Alba Basha’s identity.
After spreading evidence of connecting Dan Westgart to Dan Westgart, a lawyer in Repling, along with Facebook pictures of the two, during the April 2 court hearing, Judge Mark Sunfi commented that “this might be a coincidence, but this is impossible!”
