Uber Its is again examining drone delivery, this time partner with the flightrax. Significantly, Flightrax Walmart is one of the drone operators behind the drone supply and already provides food in some parts of the United States. It is one of the four suppliers that approve for the visual line of spectacular (BBLOS) operations by the FA, where the pilots cannot see the aircraft directly controlled. Companies say the partnership will enable Uber Brick customers to get orders within minutes while the street crowd is reduced. They are planning to launch their drone distribution services for the pilot market in the US by the end of the year.

As part of their partnership, Uber is also investing in the flightaux, which provides resources able to accelerate its drone technology in the United States. Uber’s autonomous mobility and distribution president Sarfaz Maradia says “autonomous technology is transforming the mobility and distribution faster than ever”. “With the flightRex, we are entering the next chapter – for the first time, the speed and sustainability of drone delivery on the Uber Its Platform.”

It looks like Uber is hoping that this pilot testing program has a previous effort to reach a broader. Returning in 2018, Uber CEO Dara Khosavshahi talked about the possibility of starting a drone-based food distribution service by 2021. Uber, under a product called Uber Elevet, then distributed a few tests with McDonald in 2020, but the service was not exposed. The company has also unveiled the vertical table-off and landing for two people to carry food, but it is unclear what happened to that particular project.
