The car rental company Hartz warns its customers that a data violation opens the driver’s license, credit card data, communication information and in some cases, including social security or passport number.

The company is at “Notification of Data Incident” statement (PDF) on the website: “We have completed this data analysis on April 2, 2025, and it is concluded that the personal information associated with this event may include: names, contact information, birth date, credit card information, driver’s license information and workers’ claims related to information, their social protection number or other government identification number.”
